Invoice ePay
Invoice ePay provides the ability to send an email to a customer with a link for them to view the invoice and pay by credit card.
To send an invoice for ePay, click the Action Button (the ellipsis button with three dots) to the right of the proposal and then select Send for ePay.
The email editor modal dialog will display the default invoice ePay template (see Email Templates). You can edit this email or change the template before sending it.
Note: an invoice being sent for ePay MUST have the text [EPAY-LINK] included somewhere in the body of the email. The default ePay email template already includes the [EPAY-LINK] text.
When the invoice ePay email is sent, the invoice will be updated to display details regarding the ePay: when it was sent for ePay, when the ePay expires, and what email address(es) the ePay was sent to.
If a customer can't find their invoice ePay email for some reason (for example, they deleted it by mistake), you can resend an invoice for ePay. Click the Action Button (the ellipsis button with three dots) to the right of the proposal, then select Send for ePay.
A modal dialog will be displayed to alert you that an ePay already exists, and to remind you that creating a new ePay will delete the old one, replacing it with a new ePay. This means the ePay link in the original email sent to the customer will no longer be valid. A new ePay email will be sent to the customer.
There is a system setting for controlling how long an ePay link is valid. See System Settings.
The email recipient will then receive an email with a link to view the invoice.
When the customer clicks the link to view the invoice, they will be presented with the following page in a web browser from which they can pay the invoice with a credit card.
When the customer then clicks the Pay by Credit Card button, they will be presented with the follow modal dialog.
After entering their credit card information and clicking the Submit Payment button, the customer will then be presented with a confirmation modal dialog confirming they are making a payment.
The credit card will be processed once the customer has clicked the Yes, Submit Payment button. If the payment is successful, the customer will be presented with the payment complete modal dialog, confirming the transaction is complete.
The invoice display will be updated to reflect the payment made and update the amount due.
You will receive an email notification detailing the customer's payment using ePay.
When viewing the job with that invoice, the documents section will display information about the customer's ePay payment. Click the ePay button to display the details.
