A job (and its job details) represents work that is to be done or has been done for a customer. Jobs are very flexible in how they can be used.
A job requires that a customer record be associated with the job.
- A job can have a single customer address used for both the billing address and service location.
- A job can have a single customer address used for billing and a different address listed for the service location of a particular job (in the case of a residential customer with a second home, for whom you service both properties).
- A job can have a single customer address used for the billing address and multiple service location addresses (jobs you do for a property management company with numerous rental units, for example).
When creating a job, you can search for an existing customer or create a new customer. To search for an existing customer, you can search by customer first/last name, phone, partial phone (last 4 digits), or a street address.
The job options tab provides the ability to set several options for a job.
