Personnel/Users
Personnel are the people with whom you work. They may be employees in your organization with a Trade Service Pro account or workers from a different company. You can assign various data to personnel, such as Intake records, Tasks, and Appointments.
To access Personnel, click on the Admin menu option. Then choose Personnel.
From the Personnel screen, you can create, edit & delete personnel.
You can supply several pieces of information when creating or editing a personnel record.
- Location - If your business has multiple locations, you can use this dropdown to specify the location for this personnel. (see Locations for more information)
- Name - Prefix, First, Last, and Suffix. First and Last Names are required.
- Telephone numbers - Any telephone numbers associated with the personnel.
Additionally, you can create a logon/user account for the personnel if you want them to be able to use the Trade Service Pro application. You do not have to create a logon for the personnel; this step is optional.
To create additional user accounts, your subscription to Trade Service Pro must have available user licenses. If you want to purchase additional user accounts, please contact [email protected]
The Logon portion of the Personnel Editor requires an email address (which will be the username for the logon) and a Role that. determines what the personnel is allowed to do within Trade Service Pro. (see Roles for more information)
After you create a logon, an email will be sent to the email address you provided with a link to the application.
If you want to update a personnel record or their associated logon, the Personnel Editor provides several options in this mode.
If they've entered a wrong password too many times, their password will become locked. You can either unlock their password by unchecking the Account Locked checkbox, or you can send them a link to reset their password themselves.
If you no longer want the personnel to be able to log into the application, you can delete their logon without removing their other information. This feature is helpful should someone leave the company and you wish to retain information about the jobs they worked or customers they served.
To delete someone's logon (when editing a personnel record), check the Delete logon checkbox on the Personnel Editor, then click the Save button.
You can re-create a logon for an individual at any time, so long as you have available user licenses in your Trade Service Pro subscription.
There must always be at least one logon with the role of Administrator. If you want to delete the existing Administrator account, you must first update another logon to have the Administrator role.
