Schedule Overview
Scheduling with Trade Service Pro allows you to view a shared calendar across your business. Create customer visits, schedule work orders and log personal appointments. The calendar has a variety of display modes and filtering to allow you to plan months in advance, or just see what you have scheduled today.
To access Schedule click the Work menu option. Then choose Schedule.
There are several options and filters displayed at the top of the calendar.
The +Schedule button allows you to add events to the calendar. See appointments below.
The View dropdown allows you to change the calendar view. The available options are Month, Week, Day and List. On mobile devices, only the Day and List views are available.
Each type of appointment on the calendar is represented by a unique color. Clicking the "paint fill" icon, toggles a legend to show which color represents each type of appointment.
The change the date range of the display calendar you can use the navigation buttons at the top of the calendar. Clicking the Today button will jump the calendar to the current day. Clicking the previous/next buttons will change the calendar to show the previous/next month, week, or day, depending on the current calendar type.
You can limit what you can see on the schedule by clicking the filter button. You can choose to see events that are assigned to a specific person, or choose to see only certain appointment types. Clicking the Reset button removes any previously applied filters.
To print a portion of the calendar, select a date range by clicking and dragging the mouse over the days to select them. Then click the print button. You can then choose to include any actual work order documents in the print out. You can also choose to filter the selected appointments to a specific person.
You can schedule several different types of events with Trade Service Pro.
- Schedule an event that may or may not involve a customer
- Schedule an event from an Intake record, copying over the customer details
- Schedule an event for work to completed, linking work order details to the appointment
- Create tasks directly from the calendar
- Log the weather for a given day to remember why work may have been delayed
If you've clocked in, click the Start Timer when viewing an appointment to log your time spent on that appointment. See Timesheets
