Resources
Resources are the tools, equipment and vehicles you work with. Trade Service Pro allows you to store information about these resources like make/model, serial numbers, and job billing data. Each resource has its own maintenance log to track who did what and when.
To access Resources click the Operations menu option. Then select Resources.
From the Resource screen you can search for particular piece of equipment or vehicle easily. See who is currently assigned to the resource, and when it was issued.
When creating or editing a resource you can specify a name and description. If the resource belongs at a particular location you can select it from the Location dropdown. Similarly, the Resource Type picklist can be used to categorize the resource. A resource also supports attaching images, files and forms.
A Resource can be assigned to a Personnel by selecting from the Assigned To dropdown. This allows you to track who is responsible for the resource. At the same time you can set the Date Issued so that you can see how long someone has been assigned a particular resource.
Each resource can have a list of attributes which are determined by its resource type. For example, a vehicle could have attributes like, VIN or Mileage. While a cell phone could have attributes like Memory or Network. These options are configured by the Resource Attribute picklist
If you use the resource on a job and you want to set a standard price or rate for using this piece of equipment, you can do that in the Job Billing section of the Resource Editor. This pricing data will be used to auto-fill a job detail during its creation.
